Kris Kotcher is a well-known illustrator and graffiti/street artist - Frenemy. For two decades he has dedicated himself to building his own unique universe, filled with eccentric characters that grace many a city wall throughout the world. He is deeply passionate about storytelling, and strives to promote the power of imagination with everything that he does.

Kris hails from Austin, Texas, but has lived in a variety of countries abroad for the past 13 years, most recently in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia - where he began his tattoo career in 2020 under the guidance of one of Malaysia’s best tattooers. Kris has now moved back to the USA and decided to make New Haven CT, and Lucky Soul Tattoo, his new home.

Kris’s tattoo work is very bold and bright, leaning in American Traditional - but his designs are drawn with his own unique style and flair. Kris is a very kind, compassionate, and gentle soul who deeply listens to his clients. He is dedicated to the sacred nature of tattooing, the shared connection of artist and collector, and believes that providing a good experience is as important as the work itself. Kris strives to remind us all of the joyful nature found within our own unique imaginations.
